Overview

I am running a weekend Certified LeSS Practitioner course in Milwaukee on March 24-26.

My LeSS Practitioner course is quickly proving to be the best course I have ever built. The learning outcomes, student engagement, and pacing are all working as well as I could hope for.

The weekend course scheduling has been specifically designed with consultants in mind. The schedule and logistics make it possible to avoid taking off more than one day of work for most people in the United States.

My Milwaukee venue comes with a special culinary treat. I just happen to be married to a graduate of Peter Kump’s Cooking School, which has since been renamed to the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE). We will eat lunch out to make it easy on her, but Dee is taking care of everything else.

We will have great learning outcomes, great food, and lots of natural light from floor to ceiling windows. If we are lucky, we may even have nice weather.

Hints For Those Traveling On Tight Schedules

For those of you who are within a few hours drive from Milwaukee, attending the course without taking off more than Friday will be relatively trivial. Anyone in Greater Chicago or Greater Madison easily fits this description. The downtown Milwaukee hotels are super convenient and typically well priced this time of year.

Milwaukee Mitchell Airport (MKE)

For those who must fly there are lots of well timed non-stop flights between MKE and the bigger cities in the Midwest and the Northeast. These are often on smaller narrow body jets, yet you won’t be on them long anyway. As with most mid-sized airports, the MKE airport is very easy get around in, and is seldom crowded.

Chicago O'Hare Airport (ORD)

If MKE airport won’t work for you, ORD surely will. Whether by arranging a ride with one of the Chicago participants, scheduling a sedan service for everyone who needs to go, or just driving you myself, I’m sure I can figure out a way to get you down to O’Hare airport on Sunday night.

Sedan service from the event venue curb to the ORD arrival curb takes less than one hour and fifteen minutes in bad weather with heavy traffic. On a Sunday night it should be even quicker.
